Besides these new result announcements, I would like to write a few words about the templates, especially in the "Clay season". You can read more about the Tour templates here: https://www.warlight.net/Forum/203213-awp-world-tour-templatesAnd about the different Tour seasons (and other concepts) in my 5th post. I tried to translate the tennis surface into the Warlight AWP World Tour. So the SR templates will be the Hard courts (the most tennis courts are hard) The WR templates will be the Grass courts (the luck is the Grass factor :) ) Finally, the Clay courts will be the templates with extra settings (like LD, MA, Commanders, LFD, no split, not normal fogs, kill rates, bonuses, etc.) This is the grouping method (G-Grass, H-Hard, C-Clay) in the previous post too.
On the ATP World Tour there are seasons, like Clay, Grass seasons. My plan (if the majority can accept it :) ), there will be seasons in AWP World Tour too.
- After the Guiroma Masters (first week of March) until the Poland Masters (first week of June) will be the "Clay" season (using templates with extra settings).
It means three major and three 500 Series events, plus (depends on the Mondays in the given year) seven 250 Series events (25% of the Tour events)
- After the Poland Masters (first week of June) until before the Treasure Map Masters (the last week of July) will be the "Grass" season (using WR templates).
It means one major and two 500 Series events, plus (depends on the Mondays in the given year) five 250 Series events (15% of the Tour events)
- From the Treasure Map Masters (first week of August) until the Guiroma Masters (first week of March) will be the "Hard" season (using SR templates).
It means eight major and seven 500 Series events, plus (depends on the Mondays in the given year) sixteen 250 Series events (60% of the Tour events)
Many of you probably noticed, that recently I create Tour events in row with weird settings. Well, this is because we are in the "Clay season" ;) I should have written this here earlier (before the "Clay season" started...) but I have a slight backlogs in the Tour administration tasks :| But better late than never, so here are the templates in the present and the next "Clay seasons": Here are the current one: And here are the next one: (of course if there will be a (some) new popular template(s) this can be changed in the future) I (helped by a Template Panel) chose these templates because they cover almost all special settings! - MA
Snow Mountain MA, Battle Islands V - MA
- LD
Turkey LD, Greece II - auto LD
- Commanders
Strategic Commanders
- No-Split
Macedonia
- Kill rates
Fast Earth
- Extra armies
French Brawl
- Army Cap
Georgia
- Fog Level
Macedonia (Dense), Greece II - auto LD (Light), French Brawl (Light)
- Distribution
Greece II - auto LD (automatic), Sumo (automatic), Great Lakes (LFD) and more other dist. combinations
- Weird maps (bonuses)
Poland, Elitist Africa, Sumo
- Cards
OP, OD, Diplo, Airlift, Sanction, Emergency blockade, Blockade, Reinf., Gift, Recon, Bomb, No Cards Only the Spy and Surveillance cards weren't used in any templates above
I hope that you will enjoy the 13 weeks during the "Clay seasons" as well (I will make separate summaries, statistics about these "Clay seasons" btw. Who will be Nadal in Warlight? :D)

@psykkoman Thank you very much for your template proposal! (And would very welcome from anybody else if you give your template suggestions here or in any other way (e.g. PM) anytime in the future!) Although, this template "was discussed" in the Template Panel, and seems it is "terrible" :O Btw, as I wrote, almost all the card will be used in the templates of the "Clay season", so I can accept that won't be a template with many cards (anyway, I like a lot the many card templates, this tourney was one of my favourites for example: https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=4456) @Ollie Hehe, Dunga reborned in Hungary, with a much weaker English :/ Another difference between us, that I would easy beat Qi in that game :D :P Jokes aside, it was a very cool idea, 1 year before I join to this magnificient game, Warlight :) (and he seems was obsessed of the competitions just like me :D) Anyway, there was another ATP World Tour clone, the WSOW by Ineffable https://www.warlight.net/Forum/65257-wsow-season-1-summeryIn that time, I didn't adore the tennis yet, so I have no idea that system is based on the ATP World Tour, I just simple enjoy it (until the evil ChrisCMU broke my dreams :P :D ) Oh man, those good old days... when I still had enough motivation fuel for the competitive play :| Ok, coming back to the present, Ollie, join to the Tour events more :P

Official Tour Rankings and Tour records updates - 04/2017 - Rankings
- The Official TOP10 on the Tour after April:
Pana holds the number one position for 4th consecutive months, this is a new record! But unfortunately seems he was retired :/ So the Big Four (and my heart) broken :| GL&HF IRL Pana (but hoping you will come back soon ;)) (because how the Rankings works (results from last 52 weeks), Pana will be TOP10 for a while yet :O)
Ok, let's speak about the Big Three then :P MIFRAN scored 250 points and got the 2nd position back from Buns. But the most points earned by MoD (1100!) in the last month, but still 700+ points different from the TOP3. But he has got a good chance, because the TOP3 already out from the MA Grand Slam (in the first round all :O), and he is still in (1 win). Go for it MoD! :D
Wini scored a nice 670 points in last month and keeps sticking to the leading group. rakleader and ANT both earned almost 100 points, and kept their positions (6th-7th). Welcome back Milly in the TOP10, with a nice 360 scored points. FlyingBender is still sinking :( Hades lost one position as well.

You are welcome! And yes, please work hard, the Tour needs stars ;) Two new events finished during my turtle update work... so my favorite part is now, the congrats time :D 25. AWP World Tour - 500 Series - Red Dead Redemption https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=21243Congratulation to ACL Tears for his first Tour event win! With the earned 490 points, he will be raise about 10 positions (26th->16th). I think, we will find him in the TOP10 soon! Congrats to Ollie as well, for his first Final, after a QF and SF. So now only missing the event Win from the row, but lets see the next finished event :D Here are the TOP16: 28. AWP World Tour - 500 Series - Post-Melt Antarctica https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=21435Congratulation to Ollie for his first Tour event win! With the scored 800 points from these two 500 Series events, he will be in the TOP20, but this is irrelevant in his case, because he (just like Quicksilver or Sultan for example) play on the Tour only occasionally, and miss many "mandatory" major events. But no any problem with it, because the Rankings only an additional fun factor of the Tour, playing in and winning a single Tour event still very fun ;) Congrats to Timinator for his second 500 Series Final. Soon or later his first Tour event win will arrive, I am sure ;) Here are the TOP16: With these two late finished events, the 2016 Tour year finished. I wanted to do a separate google docs only for all 2016 events (included all smaller event results, not only the best six), but now (because many 2017 Tour events finished earlier and updated into the google docs) it would mean many additional manual work :| So postponed. Or if there is a volunteer for this nice work :D

I made my monthly ongoing events analysis, based on the state of yesterday morning. Here are the updated google docs: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ao0SlM6Kv6CE1-Ha5mBIrI6nj4Uft2lMaE25qbXxWHs/pub?gid=648212339&output=htmlI collected the present finals (F, SF, QF) positions from the ongoing events (+ the Red Dead Redemption 500 Series won by ACL Tears, and the Post-Melt Antarctica 500 Series won by Ollie), so here are the players with 2 or more finals (the + means still in the event): - 5
rakleader (2SF+, 1SF, 1QF+, 1QF)
- 3
Pana (1F+, 1SF, 1QF) Master Bjarke (1F+, 2QF+) Timinator (1F, 1SF+, 1QF) Doron Hoh (1SF+, 2QF)
- 2
Ollie (1W, 1F) ACL Tears (1W, 1QF+) Pardon99 (1F+, 1SF) Jackie Treehorn (1SF+, 1QF) MoD (1SF, 1QF+) MIFRAN (1SF, 1QF+) Hades (1SF, 1QF)
Additionally I collected all present major events (except fresh started French Brawl) and QF+ small events point status for the TOP20 + players above, and here are the Rankings based on those present minimum points (in the brackets the possible maximum points but only from majors): After Pana booted all of his ongoing Tour games, still in a good position :O And a fresh news, that seems Pana will play on the Grand Slam events and some of the Masters too. We will see how he can manage his Tour Ranking in this semiretired state :D Ollie has got the best not counted points (800), but not Ranking relevant, because his occasionally Tour play (although still nice performance, congrats again! ;) ) Rankings point in view, rakleader the "winner" of this analysis. He has 5 finals and 765 not counted points. He gained on Wini and the TOP5. And he has got good positions (SF+ and QF+) in the two running Masters (his every new win will mean many points)! So we have a new Big Four pretender besides Wini :D ACL Tears has a nice 715 not count points too! This means +14 positions for him. And he is in good position in the Battle Island Masters, and still in the MA Grand Slam, so good chance to reach the TOP10 soon! Hades is in +2 positions, and gained on ANT with his +455 points. Timinator is in +8 positions with +510 points. The fight for the TOP10 is harder and harder :O FlyingBender sank -1 position again, but finally start to gain points at least ;) Master Bjarke is in +19 positions (with +560 points!) and very near to the TOP20. And he has good potential (still in Guirome Masters and the MA Grand Slam) so a new pretender coming :D And Doron Hoh (+495 points) and Pardon99 (+480 points) are coming too! I love to see those so many possible pretenders :D Although not like that the Big Four seems slowed down a bit :P

I started to write a FAQs for the Tour, I just finished some important (for me ;) ) questions and answers so far, but I copy here so you can read it already. - Q0: What is this tournament series, called AWP?
First of all, I would like to clarify a misunderstanding.
The AWP is not the name of this series, but the name of the "organization" which organizes this community event. You can read more about AWP here (skip the off-topic part ;) ): https://www.warlight.net/Forum/156041-awp-association-warlight-professionals
The right name of this series is AWP World Tour. Or World Tour. Or simple this: The Tour.
And this is only one of the community events which organized by AWP. Ok, actually the only one, but will be more :P
- Q1: Ok, so what is this tournament series, called AWP World Tour?
The AWP World Tour is a continuous series of single elimination tournaments for the competitive Warlight community.
The format inspired by the tennis ATP World Tour. If you understand how the ATP World Tour works you will easy understand how the AWP World Tour works because they are almost the same (AWP World Tour is a simplified version). You can read more about ATP and the tennis World Tour here:
Ok, now that you have read and understood everything about the ATP World Tour, open the AWP World Tour google docs and carefully look it over (both Ranking List and Events sheets): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ao0SlM6Kv6CE1-Ha5mBIrI6nj4Uft2lMaE25qbXxWHs/pubhtmlI think, now you should understand how the AWP World Tour works ;) Jokes aside, later I will write much more Q/A about how the AWP World Tour works (in details), but first, I would like to answer some general questions regarding the Tour.Q2: I don't have enough patience to understand how the whole system works… but I love the Rankings, and I feel I am strong enough to conquer it! What should I do for this?
Ok, then let me to be your agent :)
My advice depends on your freetime.
- If you have a lot of time for playing Warlight
Then my answer is simple, join to all the 50 events per year, and do your best. That's all. But one more thing. The Tour events are filling relatively quickly (6-24 hours) so you will need a fast join skill ;)
The invitations are sending out on every Wednesday between 04:00-06:00 am CET, so you should online and check invitations on these days. Other possibility that you receive a Wild Card, which only mean Monday morning (CET) invitations instead of the Wednesday ones, so you have +2 days for joining. If you were very good in other community events, you will receive Wild Cards immediately for sure. Or if you are good on The Tour, you will get as well, after a time. Or you can simple request one if you can convince me ;)
- If you have limited time for playing Warlight
Then you should try to follow this event joining order (Rankings point of view):
- Join to the four Grand Slams per year (first week of January, April, July, October)
Simple because 8000 of the maximum 19000 points are come from these four events!
- Join to the eight Masters 1000 events per year (first week of the rest 8 months)
8000 of the maximum 19000 points are come from these 8 events.
These 12 Tour events called major events. Or "mandatory" events (only Rankings point of view of course, and only because 16000 of the maximum 19000 points are come from these events!)
And very important, that all the 12 event results above will be counted, but only the best 6 of 38 results will be counted from events below!
- Join to the twelve 500 Series events per year (third week of every months)
You can get max. 3000 of the 19000 maximum points from these events (if you win 6 of the 12 events). And a result from this section only counted if better than your 250 Series best six results.
- Joint to the twentysix 250 Series events per year (the rest weeks)
You can get max. 1500 of the 19000 maximum points from these events (if you win 6 of the 26 events). And a result from this section only counted if better than your 500 Series best six results.
Summary: Join to all the 12 major events. Try to join as many 500 Series events as you can. Join to the 250 Series events only if you very like the template or have enough time ;)Q3: I don't have enough time to play even 12 single elimination tournaments per year, so I have no chance for good Rankings at all. /OR/ I think this Rankings is not correct. /OR/ I don't like any Rankings. /OR/ any other Rankings problems. Would you mind if I don't play on any Tour events at all because of this?
Yes! :D
Jokes aside, the Rankings is "only" an additional fun factor on the Tour. I think enough fun and a nice challenge to win a simple Tour event. Harder challenge (= better fun) try to win more than one Tour event (just check how few players can do this during 34 events! :O ) Or win a major Tour events (where your opponents usually play more focused way) is a hard one too. But simple playing againts good opponents in different templates forwarding in the brackets is very fun itself imo.
So if you are in this situation then simple ignore the Rankings, but please don't ignore the whole Tour ;)
Preferably check the Tour schedule here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ao0SlM6Kv6CE1-Ha5mBIrI6nj4Uft2lMaE25qbXxWHs/pub?gid=648212339&output=html and you can choose one or more Tour events one year forward (templates will be updated soon) which you are interested in. Then you just write me a message (PM or in any AWP topic) and I will invite you, even giving you a Wild Card if you were good in any other community events, so you will be as a guest star on the Tour ;)
Q4: How can I join to the Tour?
I invite players to the Tour events based on my Invite list, which exaclty means my Friend list in Warlight.
If you want to join to the Tour, you just simple have to write a short message to me (PM or in any AWP topic) and I will add you to my Invite list (=Friend list). After this, you will be invited to every Tour events! So if you want only get invitations to one or more exact but not to all events, write this request as well.
There is a Tour event in every week. The invitations are sent on every Wednesday between 04:00-06:00 am CET.
Except for the TOP100 (in case of major events) or TOP50 (in case of smaller events) and the Wild Carded players (40 players in major or 20 players in smaller events), because these 140 or 70 players will be invited on Monday mornings (+ 2 days for joining). These two additional days is an advance because the Tour events are filling relatively quickly (6-24 hours). If you were very good in other community events, you will receive Wild Cards immediately for sure. Or if you are good on The Tour, you will get as well, after a time. Or you can simple request one if you can convince me ;)
Q5: Hey, I never join to the Tour, nonetheless I am receiving your Tour event invitations, how?
First of all I would like to say sorry if I am bothering you this way, and just write a short message to me (PM or in any AWP topic) and I will immediate remove you from my Invite list.
In the beginning, for promotional purposes, I added all players from the better clans to my Invite list. And time to time, I update my Invite list with the new clan members of those clans. So this is how you've been part of the invitees. And sorry again, but I had no better idea for promotion :|
Anyway, I plan to clean my Invite list soon (remove alts, inactive players, and not Tour oriented active players) but until then you can unsubscribe from the Tour anytime.
Q6: How can I unsubscribe from the Tour?
You just simple have to write a short message to me (PM or in any AWP topic) and I will remove you from my Invite list.
If you still want to be invited to one or more exact but not to all events, write this request as well.
Of course, you can rejoin to the Tour anytime if you change your mind. To be continued.

Hey, today we are 1 year old! :Dhttps://www.warlight.net/Forum/156042-awp-world-tour(hehe, I wrote those posts during working hours, eh the good old times when I had a lot of freetime in my office :|) I have a few gifts on this nice birthday: - A brand new forum topic for The Tour:
https://www.warlight.net/Forum/262655-awp-world-tour-magazine
- A brand new AWP admin team member:
Min34 - https://www.warlight.net/Profile?p=538068105
- A few statistics and analysises about our first year.
Er... Well, I already started the necessary queries and selects, but I don't use boring database engines like Oracle, SQL, DB2, etc. nor any petty programming languages, I only use my hands and eyes and my unscriptable formated google docs, so it will be longer run :| (maybe the 1.Min34 version update will accelerate it a bit ;) )
- A nice birthday gateau.
But unfortunately I already ate it all :P
