It's imprecise. We don't have a term for the people Trump wants to ban, that's the best we have. Middle-easter muslims would be closer but then you would still be pedantic and point out they aren't all the same race. You know and I know and everybody knows what Trump means by muslims and it's racist.

Unless you're talking about a group of people who are all of the same race, it's not "racist" to do anything to them. Categorizing all muslims as one race is very much discrimination against a religious group (which is the term we need to be using, not "racist") and implies an ignorance of the fact that there are followers of Islam from practically every race.

Exactly and I would be willing to bet a lot they commit far less crime overall once they get to America. Anecdotal but every muslim immigrant family I've ever known have been upstanding law abiding people, sending their kids to college etc. Compare that to hispanic immigrants and see who we are better off accepting as immigrants, even without a few isolated terror incidents that come from the muslim community.

That's beside the point. There is one simple reason to take them in, and that's because no matter how much crime they commmit, it's just good for the economy to have more people. Being protectionist helps literally nobody.
