Why are right wing politicians prettier than left wing ones? Think about it: Merkel and Hillary vs Marion le Pen and Virginia Raggi. Is it just the few I know, or is it a general trend?

I think this is kind of an ethnocentric unconcious belief. You can't tell apart differences so well as what is different from what you normally see.
