I just want to see someone try playing the game with a 1:00, or even :30 autoboot. I think it would be highly amusing.

I think 3 minutes is the lowest time the autoboot goes, to avoid people farming wins in the open games by putting autoboot super low and then booting the people who failed to realize the boot times were so low.

1 min is lowest. You have to set a it as custom boot time.

tbh, 1 is the minimum too, sometimes the game refreshes and you have lost ~30 sec...

^ No. I checked it not long ago and if you set it as 1 minute it just doesn't accept it and says it can't be lower than 3. Direct boot at 1 minute is possible though.

Well, that is unfortunate. I was hoping for something like a "bullet chess" version of Warlight.

TBest, they were saying that 3 minute auto boot isn't allowed and 3 minutes is lowest. Your game has a 1 minute direct but auto was off.

The comparison to bullet chess makes no sense though. Chess only requires one move, warlight can require dozens

Perhaps this would work better with a minute and a half on the clock, to mitigate the refresh issue.

@Sharpe- I believe the comparison to bullet is still valid. You have one minute to play out all of your moves for an entire game, wheras you have a minute to finish all of your moves for one turn.

Except you ignore the need to plan ahead as well. Of you are only playing with the current turn in mind you have much to learn

Some folk don't find that fun, though.

You need to plan ahead for both chess and Warlight if you want to do well.

If you want the game to be even more hectic, just increase the map size.

If you can't decrease the play time, increase the number of moves necessary. :)

(Although I don't see why anyone would enjoy this, except as a novelty. Maybe to "prove" that your brain is faster than another's?)

For the same reason why a person would enjoy bullet chess. It would be crazy, exciting, and can induce an adrenaline rush. I know that happens to me whenever I play bullet chess.
