Now that i have all my creationist brethren here and the evolutionists are teolling elsewhere, we must organize our forces. The sooner we acquire nuclear weapons the sooner we'll dominate the planet.
You can conciliate the idea of a creator and evolution, you just need to stop believing in everything a old book said and start thinking outside the box that organized religions create.
Hmmmm no liberal ever defended terrorists from what I'm aware off. Generalization that every muslim is a terrorist in potential is a racist statement though.
My rabbi tried to justify evolution with genesis: Day 1- god makes light (big bang) day 2- god separates the waters (first water on Earth) day 3- dry land and plants (evolution of plants) day 4- the moon and sun (moon is created now0 day 5- fish and birds (fish evolve) day 6- land animals (fish->amphibians->reptiles->mammals->humans)
Why keep trying to re-interpret the lies of the bible to fit with the scientific worldview of the history of the universe (Big Bang, evolution). It's futile. The bible is nothing but a book full of stone age 'morality' and lies upon lies about the universe that are holding back humanity from reaching its full potential. Just take a look at the very start, Genesis 1:1 to 1:18: First the Earth is created. Then plants. Then the Sun, Moon and stars.
Even if you choose to take it as a metaphor, and say "the days were just a metaphor, it's really billions of years", the ordering is still false. The Sun existed before the Earth and was required for plants to survive through billions of years.
Can we please just move on as a civilization from this nonsense and accept the universe the way it is based on studying it, rather than trying to make it, or the studies, fit into 2000 years old fairy tales.
And I guess this was mostly for the religious moderates who think the bible agrees with science. Not for those who are so utterly blind they actually completely deny evolution or the Big Bang. I can only attribute that to a failed education system and willful ignorance. With people being so out of touch with reality the only way to solve that problem is probably through politics rather than internet discussions.
