It's just nowhere near that weighty as everyone is making that out to be. I understand Brits being very interested, and even other EU folk - but not Americans or most others.

It already had significant impacts on financial world for the US. And if you think the destabilization and possible dismantling of the EU won't have a negative effect on the US you're crazy

On top of that, Britain's credit rating just got downgraded and their exports just got cheaper. We're also talking about another Scottish referendum, the resignation of their PM, and a bunch of other shit that we get to watch over the next few months- things like Airbus moving out of the UK, along with other companies that really relied on the EU benefits.

Ok, so stock market things. Why does noone care about what was happening in Shanghai a few months earlier, then?
