Wait, no, this is something new! We're not having a weekly livestream tournament this week, we are having a sporadic Quick Fixes session, this Saturday.

And you may ask yourself "wtf is a Quick Fixes session?" Well, i'm glad you asked that, because it's exactly what i was about to explain next: During previous Fizzer "Ask Me Anything" livestream i got to thinking that Warlight might benefit from Fizzer having more direct contact with the community, and that the WGL group could help with that.

So i asked Fizzer if he would be willing to discuss a list of small fixes with us live. And he agreed to do so. So i organized a poll with the WGL people asking them what was the top 3 things that annoyed them in warlight that could easily be fixed by Fizzer. I did a shortlist of those notes and asked the WGL people to order them in the order of importance.

And now we have some results which we would like to present this Saturday to Fizzer (and whoever is willing to join us on the livestream). Some of the items he might not agree to implement or "not have on the immediate roadmap" but we hope that the discussion will either convince Fizzer of the higher importance of some of these items, or atleast give Fizzer an opportunity to explain his point of view better, discussing it with the people who find them extremely important.

I'm hoping the best case scenario will be we get 3 or 4 most important quick fixes (as voted by the WGL people) pushed to the top of Fizzer's priority list. Worst case scenario we get a better explanation of why some of these things are not top priority or ever going to happen.

To keep things lively, during the stream i will also host an open FFA game. Fizzer has agreed that the winner of that game will get to pick what Fizzer should give top priority (out of a shortlist of quick fixes that shall be disclosed during the stream).

For the sake of transparency this is the list of the WGL members who were given the opportunity to participate in the poll: AWESOMEGUY, Beren, Gui, Hedja, Jefferspin, jz, MarkusBM, master of desaster, Master of the Dead, Miyagi, Nackickwind, ps, Pushover, Styxie, Sephiroth, Super Smoove, Timinator. Some did not participate with suggestions or vote in the final "priority" round.

First time we are going to try this so let's hope this goes well. :)

You can't - simple as that:

Players you blacklist have the following restrictions:
(...)
If they do somehow find an open game you created
(such as if another player gives them the link to it), they still won't be allowed to join it.

@ps, will the Open FFA game use any filter? e.g Boot Filter :p

oh, and what is your definition of small fixes? I mean for things I consider small, I send in a bug report. (even if it is a suggestion)

If this ends up being a regular thing, it would be cool if the community/forum could suggest things to be voted on by the WGL people.

Mmmh PS, if I follow you, the list of ideas that will be submitted to Fizzer were voted by the players you named, and during the last WGL ? Any guarantee that at least one of those will be developed at all? Do you have the replay link or where do I find it easily (im a bit lost) ? Also that's something else than the other list (with youtube upload and so on) which those were submitted by Fizzer ?

Mike: the list of ideas was gathered by asking WGL staff members their top 3, then i shortlisted them (merging duplicates and scratching off stuff that is not easily fixable), then WGL staff members voted on them again on priority of importance, the list itself is still private (only WGL and Fizzer has access to it), will be revealed and discussed today, Fizzer agreed only to discuss it with us on livestream, not necessarily implement them, but i'm hoping he will give higher priority to the them. This list is independent from the FFA list, the FFA reward list was suggested by Fizzer (based on our list and some items he threw in himself), and that he did pledge to implement item that the winner selects.

It took a weight off my mind. I was going to write, that while the idea itself is brilliant, the list of fixes is awful. What you now wrote changes a lot :)

Well, even the FFA list doesn't looks so bad for me now. There's hardly nothing that can make warlight more players friendly (and using BL for forum has even good potential to be annyoing), but those are mostly nice small additions.
But Fizz, the ladder things - seriously?That's inconsistent - either you have good reasons not to use Attack only/percentage attack (afair - 'making ladder more newbie-friendly', maybe something else too), either you can enable it 'just like that'. Telling us that you will change it, if someone who win stange settings FFA game decide to choose it, sounds pretty ridicoulus for me:P

The way I see it, all items listed are on Fizzer roadmap, but FFA decides which will be on immediate roadmap (next update).
It doesnt mean those are all Fizzer priorities, maybe other stuff are too which interest less the community (like say new single players features) hence he wouldnt suggest those additions to the community.
On the other hand if this list is all Fizzer priorities more than one could happen in next update but not all because of the time it takes to implement them, so the winner decides which is definitely coming next.
