To me this seems a very popular game and it's fun with different ways to play, and great ways for everything to go wrong. Each player picks 4 territorys, or less this can be changed.

This my favorite gameplay setting and I would LOVE to see this as a ladder. It's exciting that someone even brought it up. The only issue I see is with the number of players right now. The 1v1 is thriving, but 2v2 there aren't many ranked teams yet. 3v3 I fear would just fare worse.

1) What does full distribution do if you select 4 territories to start?

1 It means you can choose any territories you want instead of only one per bonus.

2 decrease in luck allows skill to become a greater factor, there will be no lucky stands

I would love to see a 3v3 ladder. A few players who i play with regularly have suggested they would consider a membership if there was a 3v3 ladder based on Europe map.

of course, i'd love a 3v3 euro ladder. this is my favorite game format.
the only problem is that we'd need many players to have an interesting ladder, but even the 2v2 world ladder does not have enough players.

Would it be that much different than 2v2 though? I feel like just as many people (maybe even more) play 3v3 euro no card than 2v2 carded world.

And Mike brings up a good point, some people would find an incentive to become members.

I suppose i'm a good case in point. I didnt see the value in purchasing the membership initially as i dont particularly enjoy the world map. Fortunately for me, Tor offered to buy me a membership to become has partner in the 2v2 ladder. Had there been a 3v3 ladder, i would have paid for a membership straight away.

As a furthermore, i would like to see the teams decided randomly for each match to really spice things up!

As WarLight's player size grows, there will definitely be opportunities for lots of ladders. However, I don't think there's currently enough to support a healthy 3v3 ladder right now, as even the 2v2 ladder is a little under-populated.

I'm confident that one day we'll have dozens of ladders, of all different shapes and sizes. It's logical to assume that a 3v3 on Europe will be one of those given how popular the settings are.

I agree with Mike. I'll also add: when I try to make games, 2 v 2s fill up slower than 3 v 3s. And Europe without cards is more popular than World with cards. If a 3 v 3 ladder were created, there would be at least as many good teams as the 2 v 2, and more people would want to be members.

A random 2 vs 2 ladder how does that work ranking wise?

I really would love the idea of Europe 3vs3 NC. I would buy a memebership if such a thing would exist. I dare say it's the most popular template (maybe aside from Auto-Games). Actually i'd much rather have a 3vs3 Europe ladder than maybe 3vs3 Double-Earth ladder. What i love most about this template is that even with 2 terr. per player auto distribution there is surprisingly little luck involved. Actually I'm positive that at least one of the template variations would be sufficient for a ladder to be "luckproof". Auto 3terr., auto 2terr., Manual Warlords 4, Manual Warlords 3, those all would make a great battlefield. I'm pretty sceptical about full-distr. or cities distr. mode. When 2 experienced teams play it the luck component of counte-picking iceland and ireland (for example) seems to be decisive in the long run. The same thing goes for airlift cards, too unpredictable to be luck free. Of course there could be a combo (2 manual warlords picks and 2 auto terr, from full distr.).

Still, if the discussion goes somewhere, I'd suggest a tournament (3vs3 Europe, NC, auto warlords, 3 territories, or manual 4 terr.). Of course the luck modifier would have to decrease (16% or 0%). If you decide to open such a tournament, please invite me in.

It's in it, least I think I added it, but like fizzer said might need to wait till we get more members, I give up on spelling...., so for now tournys all around.
