That's what im currently making now, like it will be a large arena, with all of the players around the outside, and the 9 mini arenas, grouped into 3's, inside.

What I meant was that the player areas could be extended. The arenas could have 1 territory per area.
I prefer to have larger battle areas too, but as you wrote: this will be more complicated.
example for 4 players with 1 Arena:

Count me in for testing. I love a good diplo and this sounds like a nice twist on them. I too like looking for "other" ways to play Warlight
