No, I can't defend either of these cases, either. I was just pointing out that while police brutality is an issue, cooperation with police is lacking in most cases that we hear about. I'm not defending brutal police when I say this, but sucking up pride and cooperating might not kill some people.

Two burly policemen tasered a guy and havent been able to disarm the suspect or put on hand cuffs. Instead, they presumably panic and shot the victim 6 times. great job! America's policemen must be world's finest. not to mention that they tried to cover their failure with a blatant lie to come away with homicide, which seems to be an approved way to deal with those situations. I really hope that they dont get away with that, but I have no doubt they most likely will.

However, since white population is far larger than black population, blacks killed represent greater percentage of the black population. Nevertheless, since blacks as a race have disproportionally higher crime rates than Whites, logic goes they will be in more negative interactions with the Police. Overall I think it evens out.

The issue is more about Police abusing his powers against an uncooperative suspect, little more. Though I would still give the Police, especially ones in America, the benefit of the doubt. When every suspicious criminal could be hiding a potential gun, I wouldn't take any risks myself.

The issue is a tragic one, but has definitely been politicized. A certain party likes to take advantage of the tragedy to play race-baiting politics since it appeals so well to its voters.
