Title is just to grap your attention a bit. Honestly I think that tournments, sorry for misspells not the best speller, should always have an autoboot due to the fact that they die like that easy. Discuss if y'all want to.

I second that. I don't even remember all the tournaments I was in because they get paused...for eternity...

It would be cool to have a tool that would rip through all the tournaments and locate the one where it's been idle for more than 2 months due to exactly 1 person not submitting a turn, and then just boot 'em all. All of a sudden people would have some WARLIGHTIN' ta do!

What I'm saying is, Fizzer should write a tool or run a script or something that would locate tournaments that are idle due to one player holding up the show for at least a couple months, and then boot all such players administratively. Just as a once a year thing or something. Of course, what would probably happen is most of those tournaments would then be held up by some participant that doesn't even play anymore, but hey we might get a couple tournaments finished out of it at least!

inactives are removed from games after they have been inactive for 100 days...
and any host can designate an auto-boot, and pre-auto-boot games randy offered to put an auto-boot in them if the host emails him...

and most held up tournaments are due to a 1v1 being held up cause -both- players are inactive so...

100 days sucks to wait though

is once a year having everyone who's been inactive 60 days going to be a noticeable difference?

I've complained about this repeatedly, and Fizzer basically told me to suck it. So there's that.

WarLight's philosophy is that players are in control. If someone doesn't want their tournament ruined by booting, they can choose to set a 100 day boot time.

I'm honestly a bit surprised when someone requests that settings be taken away from other players. Honestly, if you don't like their settings, it's simple - don't join their tournament. It's not cool to go out and try to take features away from someone else just because you don't like they way they play. What if they came to me and asked me to remove a feature that you use, just because they don't like it?

Same thing I do in life just shrug it off and get over it.

Bullshit. Both you and I know that a 100 day boot time is a death knell for tournaments, due to the ebb and flow of players. Remove it as an option, it's ridiculous. Especially with the new vacation option. 5-7 days should be max.

Also crap. Most of this in this situation didn't realize hosts could set such ridiculous settings at the time. Now we're stuck with tournaments that WILL NEVER END. And you won't do anything about it. Sure, I'll never join a game like that again. But the fact that you won't allow a fix makes me want to quit playing. I guess you don't care, you've already gotten your money from me. Not that I'm bitching about the money, I've always said you should make some off this site and I'm glad you did, but you could fix these annoying things if you wanted to.

er.... who even hosts tournaments without an autoboot any more?

I'm in a tourney ("galactic conquest") that's been going on for almost a year now. There's enough inactive players in it that it should end sometime in 2014. Whoopee.
