Combinations [1,...] and [2,3,...] are the most relevant.

If you have two higher priorities, you can take over pick.

I guess that if you make 1st on 3rd territory of opponent, 2nd on 4th, 3rd on 5th, and so forth, you can screw over opponent picks very hard.

One higher priority is almost the same as mirror pick. If you make a 1st on 2nd territory, you take over. If you make a 2nd on 3rd territory of opponent, a conflict may happen between 2nd and 3rd pick.

All it means is that :

2nd and 3rd can be contested.

4th and 5th can be contested.

P.S. : Your 2nd pick versus His 3rd pick or Your 3rd pick versus His 2nd pick.

Your 3rd on his 4th will always work. It is the same a 1st pick on top of 2nd.
Your 4th on his 5th will however not always work.

If you think you know how the opponent will order his picks, you can work with this information like contesting his 4th with 3rd & contesting his 6th with a 5th.

I am now not sure if [1,2,3,5,7,8] is possible. :(

I have 70 total. 5! was an estimation.

55 start with 1 or 2.

Maybe 45 are good. :/

[1, 2, 3, 8]**

I don't understand this.

1 <-> 4, 2 <-> 5, 3 <-> 6, 4 <-> 7, 5 <-> 8.

I think you will get 8th no matter what unless I am very wrong about how turn order works.

The same with [1,2,7,8]

1 <-> 3, 2 <-> 4, 3 <-> 5, 4 <-> 6

Very interesting thing...
In 6 per player there are:

  • 125 sets where you get 9th
  • 125 sets where you get 8th
  • 145 sets where you get 7th
  • 145 sets where you get 6th
  • 165 sets where you get 5th
  • 165 sets where you get 4th

...
that is interesting

I *learnt* that priority transferred if you don't get your territory.

So you can't lose more than 2 picks in a row.

Edit :

[2,4,..] is impossible bc either [1,...] or [2,3,...].

For that to happen, you need to lose your 4th.

It will go like :

1st vs 4th, 2nd vs 4th, 3rd vs 4th, 4th vs 4th

I made a scenario where I lose my 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th. The outcome is very useless.

Unless the 8th pick is very bad, you can't abuse pick order.

I meant you will get your first three starts but not your 4th that will end up somewhere.

Yes it's actually possible to lose 4th up to 7th pick but if you get that it means that you got the 1st pick in that game for sure
