Socialism is when the everyone works together to help the poor. The rich pay most tax and middle class pay medium, and poor pay least and the government use that money to help the poor. It makes sure the rich don;t take advantage of the poor and everyone lives a good life. It is obviously better than capitalism.

That's not socialism. Socialism is a dictatorship system where all the means of production are owned by the state. What you just said is democratic socialism. It's close in name but fairly different in ideology and actual results.
