This is the first installment in hopefully a series of movie reviews based on movies I watch in theaters. Anyway, let's dive in.
As a casual fan of the original and rebooted series, I was fairly excited to see this movie. It certainly did not disappoint, though the storyline is slightly borrowed from the third movie of the original movie series "The Search for Spock". The action and plot were still original, and character interactions did provide some funny moments.
The movie takes place during the third year of the Enterprise's five year mission, during a refueling and resupply stop at a brand new starbase. That's all I will say. I found Star Trek Into Darkness a slightly better movie, though this one is certainly worth seeing.

Action: 8/10
Script:8.5/10
Plot: 7/10

Overall: 8/10
