the communist revolution had the support of the people

The Soviets were able to hold a superior position against the Whites, then use that to their advantage. They also ordered that food and water would go to soldiers first, a powerful motivator.

Hitler got elected into power.

He was appointed, not elected.

I doubt any country or resistance could survive a total war from America aka using nukes and everything they got.

It's irrelevant, because one, using nuclear weapons in Afghanistan would end the US via China and Russia, and the US would not use nuclear weapons to stop a rebellion. At that, it's doubtful that the US would use anything air based besides reconnaissance, due to that they'll likely be killing 90% civilians in those strikes, and it'll radicalize millions of folk rather quickly.

This doesnt mean they didnt have the people's support. Lenin couldnt have gone that far if he didnt had the people behind him. Plus the whites were seen as puppets of western powers, which they kindda received their support from, so it's a bad thing to get the support from the population.

Hitler won the 1933 election. He was indeed appointed chancelor but so was Merkel. The winning party gets to make a gvt in prime-ministerish systems.

It's irrelevant

It definetly isn't. US presidents have so far been all reasonable enough not to use nuclear bombs. Nothing tells us that the next or the one after won't use them.

He went that far because the region of Russia that he controlled was by far the most industrial and populous at the time.

It definitely is. As soon as they'd use some in Afghanistan, China and Russia would retaliate, and if they used them in the US, public support would evaporate. Neither Trump or Clinton would be that stupid to do either.
