I would like to know if there is a way to earn the ability to earn more than 40 seats through the rank system? This is because I am a famous WarLight diplo host who is trying to get bigger diplos! I also was there when the WarLight administrator briefly made it available for players to get more than 40 seats in a diplo through the rank system and was there just before the rank system started. I , however, couldn't achieve that in the period of time we had to earn it. So, I am wondering if there is still a way to get more seats through the rank system, or is there not?

Currently the only way is by bribing fizzer.

He's actually well known in the oldies' open games. Nowadays the open games are flooded with newbs and most of these oldies are retired or converted to invite only multidays, so, yeah, he was lost in the sands of time.

Some people still are his fanboys, though. *Looks at the conservative*

@OP I think it is possible- you just have to invite your friends (less than 39), have them decline, invite others, and then make your friends join or re-join. Ideally you should invite an alt which hasn't joined or declined BEFORE everyone else joins or declines.

In short:
1. Make the game
2. Invite 38 others + non-joining and non-declining alt account
3. Make some of the 39 decline
4. Invite any others
5. Make everyone join/re-join game except your alt
6. Make alt decline (game may/may not auto-start)
7. You should have more than 40 players in your game

I don't think that actually works, Ryzys. After there are 40 players combining the accepted + waiting for join/decline, you can't accept anymore. Just a guess. Don't think Fizzer would let something this big slip through him.

Furthermore, this is mostly for diplos, and I doubt a 41+ player scenario would work with that glitch.

Oh, I thought it would Zephyrum, based on how my clan chat game is run (has 41 "players"- some have joined, declined, not said anything). Certainly you could have 40+ players in a "game" without it starting.

Maybe someone could try to actually initiate a 40+ player game using my procedure?

I love how you say you are famous, all I play is diplos, ive probably played about 75 of them, never once have I seen you as a host in any of them lol

I like the 50 player comment though... cause if 50 makes sense then why not 60? Then 70? Every number you put in there will be equally arbitrary and will result in people asking for more no matter how ridiculous or unwieldy it may prove to be.

I think that if that was possible it would have been done in the past. Though really there was only one 40+ players game ran, and it was a 50-man fizzer game.
