Anyways, i think The Empire was far better than The Republic ever was. Palpatine was preparing for the invasion of Yuuzhan Vong that's why he poured money into Army.

The Empire, a lot of good Democracy is gonna do ya when the Yuuzhan Vong's knocking on yer door.

The Empire is quite possibly the dullest folk out there. Why didn't they stop before the Death Star and think: "Hey, you know what, there's another thing that destroys planets! Big chunks of rock!" and just build something to guide asteroids into planets?
