You have "Army must stand guard" to on, which is incorrect! You'll need to remake it!

Also you should turn fog off to make it more like the game.

I also recommend you add in random move order and drop the kill rates below 50%.

In fact, thinking about the kill rates, I would personally I would remake it with different settings:

Use commanders and 0 income. That way when a player surrenders they won't leave a stack, and in collisions the first to move would get the territory :)

If you remake it like this then I would join, though I'd say the map for this is really too big? It should really be on a map of 100-500 territories I would say.

Or you can do this with 0 neutrals, multi-attack, 1 Army Must Stand Guard enabled, and 0/100 attack/defense. Commanders, ofc, so you don't have to rely on people to surrender.

This wouldn't work with multi-attack, in fact I can't tell if your post is trolling or you just don't understand the point of the scenario... None of your post made sense.

The only rules you need are:

You must attack each turn
You can only attack neutral territory
If you fail to make an attack you must surrender (you have hit a "wall")

This will have to be set to practise obviously, just like any good Diplomacy game.

(Edit: If a player doesn't surrender when they should then just don't invite them again)

Why ... then people can kill other people's walls

Also you should turn fog off to make it more like the game.

I guess, but my thinking was in the game you have like 1.2 seconds to think about where to go while we have hours.

I also recommend you add in random move order and drop the kill rates below 50%.

The Kill rates are over my head so thanks. but random is so random. I don't want someone to lose to RNG.

In fact, thinking about the kill rates, I would personally I would remake it with different settings:

Use commanders and 0 income. That way when a player surrenders they won't leave a stack, and in collisions the first to move would get the territory :)

oh wait i see the problem with one army must stand guard now. will remake.

this map seems fine https://www.warlight.net/Map/6892-Warlympics-Arena

lol this can be pure skill if it is no-luck cycle.

really though @Ninja Nic and @Zaphod Beeblebrox what do you think of that map.

Practice????????? then what's the point of playing? (and to be honest the ones that are playing so they can break the rules would join anyway if it was practice, cus they wouldn't bother to read the Host message or the rules)

Possible Maps:

https://www.warlight.net/Map/6892-Warlympics-Arena

https://www.warlight.net/SinglePlayer?PreviewMap=42428

https://www.warlight.net/Map/9481-Benelux-Huge

https://www.warlight.net/Map/10578-40-Africas

and most of the big maps work.

Triskilion would be interesting.

So far the settings are:

Commanders
0 Armies per turn
(do we even need an army cap now?)
Dense fog to look more cool. (but is still basically no fog)
and Cycle move order. really, why random?

Dense fog is a nice idea :)

The reason for practise is it just makes things easier. If you want points then join lotteries.

The reasoning for random is basically, if it's cycle then you will know exactly the turn order, so you can push in front of a player knowing you will take it. This will be a bit of "give and take" but ultimatly the result of that tussle will be known. With random there is now an element of "daring" since it will take some balls to try and cut off an opponent or "play safe" and give them some room. Which if you think about it is much more like the real game. If you "push your luck" and get burnt by it, well then that's pretty much spot on for the Tron game. Making it practise, and smallish map should make "losing to rng" less of an issue, and really that's the wrong thinking, if you're going to play close to the wire then there's som risk in that, that's where the fun is.

Anyway, random or cycle isn't really a big issue, it's more of a gameplay preference.
