Hi,

I just figured out, that when you click on a territory with SHIFT pressed, the name of the territory gets pasted into public chat,
when you click with CTRL pressed, the name gets pasted into TEAM-chat

It would be nice, if that could be expanded, to paste as well the names of bonuses into the chat, when you click on a bonus-field.

Any chance you can extend both of these to work in private chat windows as well as the public chat and team chat windows?

I really like both of these ideas. Any time you can eliminate tedious searches, even though they don't take very long using the settings tabs, I'm all for it. It becomes especially aggravating when your required use the search every turn because the map is unfamiliar... and doubly aggravating when the map is so large your needing to zoom in and out, panning the screen around to find one measily territ.

^ For lower game counts it may not take away from the gaming experience, but for those who play a variety of maps and have a higher gamecount such as myself, this fix would be a dream come true Fizzer.

Just as an FYI to Fizzer, the pasting into team chat doesn't work on mac computers since CTRL+click is a right click for a mac, so you get the little menu you would get if you right clicked on a windows computer.

I use a Mac when I play. Your right, the control is set to a right click default, but the command button (two keys over) works instead.

So for Macs

Shift = public chat paste
Command = Team chat paste

^ or buy a PC like the rest of the world

I guess you're right mkonym, you can't complain about a free computer. Where do you work that provides Macs?

Anyway, I always use those two shortcuts, I believe they are detailed in the help section somewhere (it helps to read). And I also like the two ideas Dotdotdot came up with, and I hope they are implemented in the next release.

I work for the analyst department of FNB merchants, we do credit card processing. Not sure why they hand out macs, but I rather like it. Just some quirks every once in a while. :)

A territory finder in game would be nice. For large maps with unfamiliar names such as East Asia,it's tedious to find the territory a person is talking about.

Settings > bonuses and Territories
can be used to list all territs/bonuses or can be used to find a specific one you are searching for -namely one listed by a teammate-
only previous difficulty, before I learned of these shortcuts some months ago was getting the special characters.. -I don't frequently use them, so forget exactly how to make each- but you can easily copy/paste from the chat window once a teammate has linked it so makes it relatively easy..

Now since update 1.6 posting bonus names is possible as well, great, thanks for adding this, Fizzer!
Can you extend this a bit further to also include the player names? Some people have unspeakable cryptic names, so pasting them by shift/ctrl-clicking would help a lot. And maybe Team Names too, for the sake of completion?
You could even add the list of orders to the things that can be pasted, it would be a quick and easy way of telling your teammates "Deploy 123 to Moscow" if one could just CTRL-click the order in the list.

if you deploy 123 to Moscow, then you've probably practically won already, and need to stop teasing your enemies.. ;)
