So I recently (about 30 hours ago) got on my bottom braces. I grew up with lots of dental issues, and the top braces were okay, but the bottom braces are hell.
Do you guys have any ideas for soft foods I should eat, keep it healthy because I am in soccer shape right now. I hope the soreness goes away soon.
Ouch, braces are a pain. Bottom ones destroyed my will to live back in the days. >_< Luckily I've been free for several years now.
Ramen was my go-to, because it's easy and cheap. Pasta as a whole is a great option, being that soft.
The best option however is ice cream. The cold makes the pain go away faster. If you get a chance, ALWAYS eat some ice cream after every dentist visit related to the braces.
Another easy option is soup, since it involves zero chewing, but frankly it's too boring and bland to be good.
My brother had braces for years. I'd suggest not eating meat in general and fruit like apples at all ( Thats what he did ). Hope it gets better fur yee
Blender is the way to go, i still have the bottom braces. Mashed potatos and apples are also very good and you can clean it off with gargling water pretty easily. But that's not the case with ramen.

i currently have braces(top and bottom) and have for just over a year. they get much better. DO NOT EAT APPLES, they broke my wire twice(or dont eat corn off the cob). i didnt eat popcorn for a while but i have since like April and no issues yet(just dont eat a lot or the bottom, cuz theres a lot just kernels). meat is completely fine, i eat it all the time. gum is your call. i chew it. just make sure its sugarfree.
Your teeth are integral to your health and not having correctly adjusted teeth can affect the way you masticate thus your overall health. I had braces because my jaw structure was misaligned thus i was chewing with one side far more than the other thus i was losing integrity faster for my teeth on my right side than my left. If i didn't get braces I'd probably have a distorted mouth/jaw and some sort of series of side effects.
Also it's good to get braces still in school. You don't want to have to wear braces in a professional work space. Or get invisalign, my cousin has them.
