Luckily, members are more lucky ;-)

(buy a membership and adjust the luck percentage yourself!)

Well there are really three elements for discussion here:

1. The luck modifier cannot be changed by non-members.
2. The luck modifier defaults to 75% for members.
3. The luck modifier is 75% in the built-in single-player levels.

You say you want the default changed (number 2). I don't think this one is really a big deal, given that it's easy to save, copy and change templates, players can just store their favorite luck value in their templates and never have to worry about what the default is again.

Number 3, the single-player levels, is a legitimate issue since those can't be customized if players want their wins to appear on their profile.

But I suspect what you're *really* asking about is number 1, given that you're a non-member, you can only use the 75% luck modifier.

The luck modifier is a member benefit today. Analyzing this element really comes down to looking at the financial picture. The issue is that WarLight is not profitable today, and any changes in the financial model need to be toward profitability if WarLight is to be able to sustain itself in the future. You're asking to take a step in the opposite direction from that goal, which isn't going to be good for WarLight in the long run. The gap between non-member features and member features is already very narrow - free players can do almost everything that paying players can do, which is a problem because there are tons of players who really like WarLight but don't upgrade just because they don't feel compelled by any of the member-only features.

yeah @ fizzer , according to me luck modifier is the only reason for a non-member that hurts ....
if in future i would be a warlight member then it will be just for the luck modifier.
anyway why you wrote 100 word article , for explaining me all this very clearly ?

if that was the cause then this line was enough : "Some things are needed to be not changed to make life profitable."

thanks @all for the reply

Because I didn't know which one of the three issues you were asking! If you had asked for "allow non-members to use lower luck levels" it would have been clear, but you actually asked about changing the default which could have meant a few different things. So I answered every question you might have been asking, in the hopes one of them would be right.

ohk but all of the 3 issues you had declared was not mine case ,
it was actually this:

4.The luck modifier Defaults to 25% for the non-members . { Non-members will NOT be allowed to change this DEFAULT setting}

That's almost two requests. One is to switch the luck for non-members, and the other is to change the default.

Also, not sure that you understood what Fizzer was saying in the general sense. He was saying that he wants to only have the gap between Non-members and Members grow apart rather than bring it closer. To preserve the life of Warlight, it has to be financially stable. Thus, there probably won't be any more feature changes for Non-Members.

The point of still allowing non-members to play is to get a taste of the membership and want to purchase it. So the Luck Modifier is an incentive because you see other games with that setting yet you can't change it yourself until you purchase the membership. It's one of the few (and most important imho) features that really differentiate the two statuses for this game. It's the same marketing strategy that all "freemium" games have and it's the reason that they exist.

But i can totally agree with you that the 'default' for strategic games should be lower...something like 16% :)

I only explained it again because you obviously didn't understand that it actually answered your question. And a ~100 word response is a small paragraph and takes 3 minutes to write.

Next time I'll just write, "See Above" to satisfy your short response requirement.
