I honestly don't hate it at all unless it turns out the dude isn't REALLY on vacation and is just being a douche and delaying the game for no purpose. The vacation rules are there so that people can live their lives and not have to worry about getting booted from their warlight games just because they want to take a trip somewhere, it makes perfect sense.

Personally, I'm not a fan of this vacation, as I made clear in the chat, but more because of the fact that the *others* are being held up. It's not really coöperative towards your co-players.
Then again, isn't it also a bit the host's fault? Why didn't Cape *(in this case)* turn Vacation Mode off?

Personally, I was bothered by a 2v2 game where my teammate saw we were losing, took a vacation, and left me with two grumpy foes. In the end, he was booted and I surrendered, pretty embarrassed.

Seeing *our* game is in an early stage, this probably isn't the case. I suggest we don't make too big a fuss about it.

To answer your topic question: ***yes***, because of the number of players being held up, either on purpose or not, but I don't *hate the player* for doing so.

I've said it before and undoubtedly I'll say it again - There's no prize for finishing games sooner, they'll wait for you. If you don't have enough turns to play, join more games. If there's no more games to join, create some and start spamming the invites. All of the angst people feel over their games being held up (when the causes are legitimate, like a vacataion) is of their own choosing, since there is absolutely no meaningful impact to their lives. Meanwhile, impatience in regards to warlight leads to more bitching and moaning on the forums than anything else, both because of boots in realtime games and because of delays in multiday games.

In any event, go ahead and put a uservoice topic up to remove the vacation feature, or tinker with it, and the collective voice of warlight players will speak :)

I only like ti when people use it for actual vacations or if they know they can't be on.

Really, I think you're overreacting by putting up a forum topic with a lengthy name instead of just waiting for the bloke some days.

you forgot? you mean the cancerous horror of vacation mode isnt permanently seared into your mind, you arent tortured every waking moment by the inescapable knowledge that a game of an online version of risk is at this very moment being delayed?
