Not sure how many NFL fans there are on wl but I thought I would give it a try. It's only week 2 but lets hear early predictions for division winners and your SB matchup. My predictions:
AFC East - Patriots AFC West - Broncos AFC North - Steelers AFC South - Texans AFC Wildcards - Raiders & Bengals NFC East - Giants NFC West - Cardinals NFC North - Packers NFC South - Panthers NFC Wildcards - Vikings & Seahawks Superbowl - Patriots v Giants
Had a hard time picking the wild-cards. Bengals will probably still make it despite the handicap that is their coach Marvin Lewis. Cards and Seahawks are too good to not emerge out of the NFC West. I realize my SB matchup prediction is quite far-fetched but I just want to see Brady wipe that dumb look off of Eli's face before he retires.
AFC East - Dolphins AFC West - Chargers AFC North - Bengals AFC South - Texans AFC Wildcards - Colts and Broncos NFC East - Redskins NFC West - Seahawks NFC North - Lions NFC South - Saints NFC Wildcards - Cardinals and Panthers Superbowl - Bengals vs Seahawks
Fuck cheating Brady, he'll have the worst 6 games of his career then get benched for Jimmy GOAT and Patriots miss the playoffs entirely. Brady retires in shame.
0-2 Dolphins who just got smoked by a team running its backup QB and missing its two most important non-qb players are going to rebound to take the division. Thanks man, I needed that laugh!
Below are all the teams in each divison for reference for anyone that wants to make a prediction. AFC EAST (Patriots, Jets, Dolphins, Bills) AFC WEST (Broncos, Chiefs, Raiders, Chargers) AFC NORTH (Ravens, Steelers, Bengals, Browns) AFC SOUTH (Texans, Titans, Colts, Jaguars) NFC EAST (Giants, Eagles, Cowboys, Redskins) NFC WEST (49ers, Rams, Cardinals, Seahawks) NFC NORTH (Vikings, Lions, Packers, Bears) NFC SOUTH (Buccaneers, Panthers, Falcons, Saints)
Hmmm... I think the last time I recall someone saying the Patriots had no chance at winning the division was back in week 4 of 2014 when they were smoked by the Chiefs. Can't seem to recall how that season ended though...
Packers (Pittsburgh is supposed to not like them but I do)
Panthers
Skipping Wild cards for the most part because I'm not that into NFL aside from my hometown division. I think the Bengals have a chance at being a Wild Card, but I'd rather see the Browns shock everybody for once in my lifetime.
SB Prediction: Steelers vs Cowboys.
The Steelers, in theory, have a guaranteed winning team this year. However, they have a way of not playing to their potential all the time. If they can give the other teams that Pittsburgh Pressure and hold the newest welds in the Steel Curtain (offensive and defensive lines), then they have a damn good chance at taking it all, I'd say. But that just might be my bias talking.
For someone who complains about people getting angry about other's opinions so much, it's quite odd that when a few people express their personal beliefs you get so angry that you use a racial slur and call them criminals.
PE's language is way out of line, but I get where he's coming from.
It seems quite convenient for the rich men to complain about a nonexistent systematic racism while many who are complaining are minorities and richer than any of us will ever be. Of course, they don't use their money to help the cause they are supposedly pushing for, though. It makes one think if it isn't just a publicity stunt.
"I've been very blessed to be in this position and to be able to make the kind of money I do," Kaepernick said. "And I have to help these people. I have to help these communities. It's not right that they're not put in a position to succeed or given those opportunities to succeed."
This really isn't an example of a Champagne Social Justice Warrior, he was adopted. He isn't really anti-white either, his mother was white, and his adoptive parents were white.
