Downvoted noisy flamey/trolly comments, e.g. telling people to 'go home', etc.
@Tabby: Downvoting because you don't think we should talk about race is not a good reason to downvote. That's a form of censorship. That's not the purpose of the voting system (see the hover text of the [?] below the thumbs to see what you're supposed to base votes on).
@Others: Downvoting Tabby's first comment because you disagree with his downvote is also not a good reason to downvote (again, see the hover text of the [?] below the thumbs). Tabby has expressed his opinion. I too disagree with his opinion, but it is not off-topic or otherwise noisy. Therefore, I've upvoted his first comment in support of his right to express his opinion on this topic.
Fight bad speech with better speech, not voting wars. Use voting to improve the overall quality of the forums/threads.
