Warlight on Kongregate hacked?: 2011-10-09 14:00:44

Hello, I was wondering for a while what are the lower boungs on single-player levels. Since Warlight single-player mode hit almost 150K plays I though I should take a look at records. As for today they are:
Level 1 - 6
Level 2 - 9
Level 3 - 12
Europe Challenge - 15
Crazy Challenge - 11
Insane Challenge - 13

Well, we all kno level 1 is easy to beat in 6 turns, but from here on it get's weird. 9 turns on level 2 is definitely the lower bound (takes 9 moves to get Australia), but from my experience it's practically impossible. I strongly believe the lower bound is 10 (I had a good shot at 10 once, but I had no luck last 2 turns). Though Europe challenge seems doable (it varies heavily depending on AI stupidity) all the others in my opinion prove there are some cheat engines that are working on Kongregate...
What do you think guys?

Unfortunately some people have found ways to cheat on the Kongregate leaderboards, so you can't always trust the high scores on there.

Any scores less than these are most likely cheaters:

Level 1: 6
Level 2: 11
Level 3: 16
Europe Challenge: 15
Crazy Challenge: 17
Insane Challenge: 24

I've never put any weight in the kongregate high-scores

Yes, that is very unfortunate, I thought that putting warlight single-player open to the public might give us a good approximation of what are the possible best-scores for those levels.

As for level 2, I am positive 10 is doable, unfortunately I lack proof...

Although I'm curious Fizzer, how did you come up with those lower bounds? Is it straight from practice or did you test those levels with an implemented code? (for level 2 for example I think it's easy to show the best strategy for the first 6-7 turns and the prerequisites for the dice-rolls to stand a chance of beating 11 turns)

Fizzer, why did you delete my post. I was only pointing out a hacked game. I wasn't encouraging evry user on Warlight to go hog-wild and start playing it.

When someone wins a level on WarLight.net while signed in, it saves the result to their profile. I can query these and look at the scores. If you graph them, it makes a very predictable bell curve, so it's pretty easy to spot any cheating scores since they'll be way outside the curve. These lower bounds are just the lower edge of the curve.
