I'd definitely play that. I was kind of disappointed how the only fictional maps I recognize are Middle-Earth (all three of them) and Azeroth. And I'm vaguely familiar with Westeros, but it's really not the same just knowing that a work exists as knowing what the different territories look and feel like on the ground. With a graphics-lite game like Warlight, being able to visualize the events that are abstracted by the game is really important to a good experience, so more recognizable maps would be awesome.
recognizability is based on the maker/audience.. there apparently haven't been many naruto/avatar/etc. fans making maps, so they aren't made... apparently there have been a lot of Lotr fans though, lol
I'm making the map, I'll end because I've started, already drew the tribe of the north and half of the kingdom of the earth, I'll post the link when I finish
obs.:I realized that the post is kind of old, if you did post the map link
You might want to be careful implementing this map...the mountains on it make the lands look rather distorted. It might just take some creative interpretation.
sorry for the delay, college things , I promise to work harder on this project, finishing the design now, just need to divide the territiories and connects them
I finally finished the map in the inkscape, now I'm having problems in upload.:(
When i try to upload, this message appears:
''There appears to be an issue with this svg file. The svg contains measurements that are in a format other than pixels (such as points, inches, centimeters, etc.) WarLight only supports pixel measurements. Please configure your application to output the svg in pixels.''
what do?
Open inkscape
Press CTRL+A
Then above the viewing window you should see some buttons about the size and position of what you've just selected. Change the unit to something other than pixels (can be anything), and then change it to pixels again.
Then save and try uploading it again.
