Wouldn`t the interwebs be a smarter place to look for an answer than the WL forums

so this is alright for 'TV picks' & 'what's your favourite music' but not for at least 'game related' questions. ? Thanks for your help.

Well, TV picks and Favourite music is about what we think is the best of some kind. In other words, our opnions. You can ask for opinions always. What you are asking for is information. This information you can get in 10 minutes by googling, instead of waiting long on WL

why do you need a pad for a laser mouse? personally I don't use one, and never have problems.. maybe you should try nothing ;)

I have a laser mouse and it works best on a wood desk or even a magazine. You may also want to think about just going back to the old fashioned ball mouse

thanks but old 'optical' mouse worn-out on WL. Tried new 'laser' on old pad, new pad, plastic- laminated sheet, & hard plastic sheet. Works most of the time but 'jitters' & freezes now & then which is not good when you have 100 odd territories to click & move.

I have this for a few years. Works well with a laser mouse.

Thanks for the tips, it seems the pad might have been only part of the problem as the 'plug-in wireless dongle' needs a clear signal so if it's at the back of the desktop or any metal objects in the way, it doesn't like it. I think it might be ok now.
