I've had a couple of problems with making a Warlight map, and these seem like things that should probably be added to the wiki, because I think they'd be fairly common. First off, I need to punch a hole in one of my territories to make a lake that should show up black in the finished product, but I can't figure out how to do this properly.
Second, my Inkscape background stays white even after I set the background to black. Will it still show up as black in the finished result?
Third, I have a *huge* amount of map ideas. I'll probably get bored after making just one or two, but just in case, would there be some kind of memory storage problem if I end up making a whole lot of them in a short amount of time? I can't imagine there would be, but I have only the vaguest ideas of how Warlight works, so I thought I should check.

1. Draw the big territory and the smaller one (or a lake in your case), the duplicate the lake, select one of the lakes and the big territ, and use Path -> Difference.
2. Yes, the Warlight background will always be black (unless, for example, you draw a big white rectangle under the torritories).
3. I don't think so. There is, however, a limit as to how big a map file can be (but you won't hit it unless you do something *really* wrong ;) ).

I can't seem to select both at once. Clicking one, then CTRL+clicking the other isn't working.

Excellent. Everything's working like it should, now. Thanks for your help, this map should be done within twenty four hours.
