I hate this level. I've never been this stuck before.
I've tried several strategies, even watched the youtube clip of a guy making it. Nothing works.
With some luck I get france, germany and spain as well as england without much trouble from the boss. Taking over every new territory I can.
The PROBLEM is, no matter how fast I try to be, I meet Partha forces with 100 stacks. I get maybe 100 a turn, if everything went according to plan, but it's hard assassinating partha commander while keeping my territory.
I have managed to get to partha with a 250/300 stack, but partha just puts 250+ in the commander. At that point I am also losing territories if I want to keep up the assassin stack.
Is it just pure luck that beats this level??? I would just like to see one strategy getting me closer victory.
I will keep trying, but Parthan AI moves a lot slower in the video than when I play. If I go directly to Italy, then he is already at the bottom when I get there. Same with eastern parts. A few turns more before I meet Parthan AI could be enough, but it's always overwhelming.
While playing on the phone SHOULDN'T make a difference, I'm not sure that is the case. I say that because I have experienced that the AI behaves slightly differently on PC than on mobile when playing the old WW2 single player.
On PC I could not complete the level fast enough to get the gold star, on mobile I was able to do so multiple times.
That said, when I have played this level I typically encounter the Parthian AI at the southern tip of Italy so your description sounds right. I usually concede Italy and Africa, stacking up at Carthago and Tingis to hold the France and Spain. At that point your income should be comparable to Parthia's and higher once you can break into the Parthia and Magna Asia superbonuses. Just play defensively there, taking advantage of the turn order to take out smaller stacks he may have next to you.
If you can manage to control the Spain and France superbonuses you should be able to stand toe-to-toe with Parthia
