XenonStorm is a cheater don't play with him, he is booting when he now he won't win

well that isn't cheating that is just being a major noob but thanks for the hint

Delay of game is still a penalty.

Not sure I see how it is cheating... booting a player that exceeds the direct boot time is perfectly acceptable. I can understand the distaste of it depending on circumstances but its an easily avoidable situation... don't exceed the boot time in the first place.

I have to agree with Richard on this one. Problems like these constantly pop up on the forum and get blown out of proportion.

Basically: Don't Join Games Where You Can't Make The Boot Time.

Don't join games with less than 5 minutes boot time, period. In fact, try not to join with less than 10 minutes boot time. As you start to win, your turns take longer, and their turns take less time. It's easy on almost every map to take more than two minutes just to input orders, let alone if you have to use the bathroom or talk to someone in real life. SO many people complain on here about getting booted at 2 minutes while they were winning.

I try to always play multi-day, even if I am going to be around for a while. If you can't make it back within a day, you should be on vacation or not joining games, in my opinion.

I was 260 he had only 5 income, it takes some time to deploy 260 units, and he booted my after 5,01 m

if you had so many, and he so few, strategy should have been a nonissue and you should have just gone for the kill.

show us the game link. if you deployed properly, you shouldn't even need like 2 minutes to deploy when the enemy is pretty much dead.

Sounds like a mentor system for new players should work in here.

There seem to be tons of seasoned players here.
Offer your assistance to one or more new players, do a few games with them with open chat, and run through a game with them. Be their Game Master for a few rounds, and see how it develops. Correct them where they stray, help them where needed and you get more good players in here.

Sarge: You should post that in a new thread. There are lots of players who love being mentors (assuming the mentoree isn't arrogant or rude), but most of those people probably won't be reading a flame thread like this one.

@Sarge in Arms (and any other WL youngster who'd need help) : I sometimes open teaching games, and/or you can invite me to a standard 1v1 anytime so we can spend some time afterwards commenting and checking what went wrong. Always glad to help and play ;o)

I would be interested in helping others. Granted, my stats are not great, although I am doing better and I have played way to many games. I understand how the game works and what I feel is the best way to play. Maybe I will learn a thing or two myself. ;)
