I'm making a very simple map (similar to Brackets) as practice, and have run into a wall.

When I upload the map into Warlight, it seems unable to recognize or create connections between nations! Without them, players can't move troops - a very depressing map.

Am I missing something here?

Did you assign the territories?

There are less than 250 territories and each is named according to "Territory_#" but even when I include lines between each territory I can't see how to create connections.

I feel like there's something simple I'm missing, but if I could see it I would have fixed it already.

Sorry to double-post, but I thought this might be helpful:

When I upload the vision to WarLight, I see everything rendered properly - when I select any of the Connections options (Direct, Horizontal Wrap, Vertical Wrap) I can click-drag and a connection will be created!

HOWEVER it is a connection between the mouse cursor and the top-left corner of the map, as if I were connecting to an illusory territory that does not exist. Ditto for wrapping connections.

I will review the SVG file to see if I might have accidentally marked a background file as a territory, but if that is not the case then I have run out of ideas.

Then maybe you haven't set up the centerpoints correctly?
