Tell me about Vladimir Zhirinovski.

Knock the crap out of America. I know more about the USA than anyone of our commanders, you can believe it. And you can tell Americans to go fuck themselves. We have to knock the hell out of USA, and we have to do it fast. And I love war. Just, 16 years of this rubbish have sacrificed our safety and undermined our freedom and independence. The Pootin-Medvedev foreign policy has let America unpunished invade Iraq, invade Afganestan, invade Pakistan, invade Libya, invade Syria, and an ilk of other countries, and for what? For death to those who opposed American order, to fund Islaamists which chant death to Russia. It's horrible. If I was USA, I'd call Pootin and tell him that we couldn't have done it without him.

We can play nice, we've tried it Pootin's way for many years, but nice doesn't stop state sponsors of worldwide dread. What's more now is that America is now funding evils in here, to try and shatter our country to civil war, or from war from the outside. It's not acceptable. But Pootin made the USA powerful with his inaction. We're going to confront directly the hateful ideology of Americanism — and promote moral behaviour, and Russian culture, and Russia’s system of government.

Russia's got to unite the last bastions who have not fell to America, and we've got to end American expansion. We can't allow such torturing people that kill children, either through the release of a bomb or the "humane" injection of poision. We've got to stop this evil. Don't get me wrong, I love Americans, but they have to work with us against these horrible evils and genocides. But no, they just keep on killing people since they found some cocaine on him.

The great myth of the Lend-Lease. in truth most politicians in Russia at the time started to worry about whether Germany had signed some non-agression or less-agression deal with Britain and America so that the two imperialist countries could see and have fun watching the two countries they hated tear each other apart.

During the war, Soviet factories produced more than 29.1 million small arms of all major types, while only 152,000 small arms (0.5% of the total) were manufactured by American, British, and Canadian plants. Looking at all types of artillery systems of all calibers we see a similar picture – 647,600 Soviet weapons and mortars vs. 9,400 of foreign origin, representing less than 1.5% of the total.

@MGSB:

The supplies they recieved we're also generally superior.

Also, nukes make artillery kinda irrelevant. If some nuclear scientists hadn't given the USSR info on nuclear weapons...

Doubtful, it was most likely a few surplus guns that were issued to border troops and groups in places like Mongolia or Turkestan.

Are you autistic or militarily illiterate?

I guess the US has zero divisions outfitted with artillery, it's just so darn useless.

Oh wait, the majority of US divisions use artillery. I wonder why. Maybe it's because combined arms is the standard for all militaries because it's the most sensible way of performing conventional warfare, and combined arms calls for a multitude of arms (which includes artillery) to be used in conjunction, to recieve better results.

@MGSB, I'm talking about in terms of World Wars.

In all seriousness, ground troops are important yes, but no major power (Russia, China, various Euro nations, US, etc.) is going to fall militarily when nuclear weapons are an option.

You're (admittedly probably sarcastic) post suggested the middle east could just build a big army/navy in order to put itself on A HIGHER LEVEL than the US, when that isn't the case.

Your idea of someone committing first strike is ridiculous. One, no one advocates first strike, two, we have examples of situations comparatively like this. In WW2, both the Allies and Axis (in Europe) didn't use chemical weapons because they knew the cost was too high and the other side wouldn't.

Would the Muslim World be able to arm and outfit an army and navy larger than the US? Yes. Would they be able to defeat the US in the Arabian Sea or Persian Gulf or like place? Yes. Would they be able to invade the US or fight into the Atlantic or Pacific past the Philippines? No.
