Nope. When vacation ends you get a one hour buffer before you're bootable. So the player had an hour to take turns. That's more than enough

Some great points being made by Queef here. I honestly dont get the argument that booting is wrong. If you were to go from college bball to the nba you wouldn't complain about the shot clock going from 30 to 24 seconds.

I think at the end of the day it comes down to why you are booting. If you're booting to force a win otherwise unearned, why play the game at all? If you're booting because someone is just taking too damn long, then that's fair. Strategic booting is pretty lousy.

There's no such thing as strategic booting. As I've said, when you join a game, you are implicitly agreeing to move within the direct boot time, so as not to slow down the game. If you don't move within that time limit, you really have no reason to complain, since you've implicitly agreed that any player may boot you. Again, it's a matter of personal responsibility and respect for both you teammates and your opponents

@Queefballs-if a person like you(who respects time and have less boot rate) boots-it is fine;
if a person like Dherac(who himself has 50% boot rate)boots-it is called strategic booting. Such players win only through booting.

I've played games before where the boot time is more like a guide. There was one game where a guy had to go out for 20mins, and we all just decided to wait for him, we enjoyed chatting and talking about the game. Several other times people have said they need to grab dinner and we often wait 15mins for them and just chat.

But then I tend to play Diplo games, which are often chatty anyway, and I usually play with really chill players, which aids that environment.

It really depends on the players in the game, some people would hate this, others like me are quite happy about it and actually see that as the fun of the game.
