Looks fun, joined. Though I don't know about 1/3 of those templates...so not sure how well I will perform. It is a good way to get exposure to them though.

Changes:
  • Added gzip compression to the server response
  • Show only the last 15 games on the main page


These changes should reduce the page load time significantly(600%). It'll also reduce the size of the response from the site, which is beneficial for those who have data restrictions.

There is no way to see all games ever played. You can always see all games via respective player pages. If anyone uses the "all games" view and wants it brought back, let me know and I'll work on it.

First, I found this very cool so thank you for this :)

How about adding the template from the first seasonal ladder? It's strategic Medium earth with lightfog and warlords set at 0 neutral armies.

I know you already have Medium earth and lightfog in the mix but I think it differs alot from those (in regards to the map and setting on those two templates).

I think it would be more suitable (and fun) with 0% luck and straight round for a ladder though which I changed it to in the link above. Missing out on your luck puts you at a even higher disadvantage when your opponent is able to see it, especially failing to capture bonuses in the very beginning :P

Lightfog on Medium earth is what I like most about this as it's something that makes picking different on the map, the 0 neutrals adds another little twist on that.

I don't really mind that you can get income faster, but sure I get that some don't. If you want to slow it down a bit you can just do it with the original settings with more luck (https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer?TemplateID=128652). I think both are fun and strategic :)

I'm curious about that Cat Fight template. Where did that come from? Was it used in WGL or something?

Also, sorting the tempates in alphabetical order on the main page would be a nice addition.

There was a lot of opposition to that template when it was on the RT ladder. I personally like it, but I'm not sure what the others think. We'll run a poll soon on whether that template should be included on MDL and changes on other templates as well.

Latest feature from Muli:

Whoops. Really easy to miss that tbh. Seeing only 30 people voted in 3 days i assume i'm not the only one who missed the announcement. I suggest to make that more visible, a one-liner plus a link is rather unremarkable. Maybe some sort of image to make this more of an eye-catcher

To people who think everything is unicorns and rainbows if SR :

You can't just switch WR to SR on strat templates.
Example - hannibal : the whole template was balanced for WR and neither number of wastelands, their size,starting armies, armies pert turn nor reinf. card strength or frequency are necessarily appropriate for SR. Even number of starting territories is debatable. You are making broken templates by randomly changing single aspects you dislike.

Source : somobody who actually spent time making & testing the gorram template that I'll probably end up vetoing.

I don't understand why Numenor is there,I'm curious what others think. If enough people dislike it perhaps get rid of it?
