I've been noticing that over the last week or two a lot of advertisements have not been loading properly,
but instead I get this strange and rather annoying loading visual that looks like it is from a video player showing me that the ad won't load.

I usually hit the stop button on the visual because it's so annoying watching it try to load the advert, and then fail forever.

I don't want to get docked points for my wins, and I'm not sure why the ads fail to load so often recently.

I have experienced this problem on both laptop (wireless), and desktop.

I have been playing Warlight almost exclusively on Firefox for some time now, and after experimenting with playing Warlight on IE, I believe Firefox is the primary cause for the extent of the issues that I'm having... although things are a little delayed in IE for the same page on the same computer at the same time, it's nothing like Firefox.

I'm going to double check Firefox and Java and Flash for needed updates / upgrades.

I am curious if anyone else has had similar issues in the past two weeks, and if you have, if you have found any solutions or better workarounds.

Try Google Chrome.
Is better and faster than Firefox.

I have tried Chrome in the past, and I might try it again if necessary,
so far IE seems to be okay with Warlight. :)

There are video ads in game now?

Um, the advertisements that I am having trouble with,
(based on what loads in two seconds in IE for the same page, at almost the same time),
are not video ads, and I can't say that I've seen such ads yet,
but that would certainly be a concern for my bandwidth / computer. :-\

(Video ad for McCormick Cinnamon. What a worthless use of a video ad / bandwidth to boot. It should at least be a tropical vacation video tour, or a Porsche or something else that makes me smile... :D )

Yeah, um, that's gonna be a problem. :P

but if we feel slighted, we can always find easier semi-legit ways to get points. :P

in single player I have found video ads that have the same problem @Duvblin Warrior
