Making Territories Inside Territories (Inkscape): 2013-12-18 00:02:53

I'm trying to make some territories that are completely inside other territories. I cannot use Path -> Divide, which is the only way I know how to make them. The territories I'm trying to make belong to the same bonus, but the most interior territory is a separate singular bonus (like the the forts in the map "Fall of Jerusalem").

This picture (http://i.imgur.com/XNxdl7a.png) shows what I'm trying to do and explains in a little more detail.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

This looks fairly easy of a solution. I realize the wiki it seems a little foggy on how to do this.
So, copy the territories you are planning on putting inside another.
Next, click on the copy of the territory, and drag it over to the territory.
Then press the "Ctrl" button and click the bigger territory as well.
Click the path button on the menubar (the one on the top). Next, go down to the "difference" button, and then there will be a hole in the territory that was the copy of the smaller territory you were going to insert into the other.
Last, place the original territory you made a copy of inside the whole.

Note: If you need to drag both the inner territory and the outer territory, then group ( Ctrl and G) and then left click to find "ungroup" once you are done. (Ungrouping is required

Thanks for the method. I must be doing something wrong though, because I can't get it to work.
