The protests are absurd and ironically defeat the purpose of living in a democratic republic. Unfortunately, California brings a lot of money, and while I would rather not have that cesspool of a state connected to the mainland, much less a part of the country, it would be a bad idea to just let it run off.

The chances of California leaving the united states in the next four years are negligible, so I don't really see why talking about it matter all that much. I guess it's interesting to theorize about I guess.
