Just because its been translated into German, doesn't actually mean it originated as a German saying. Or do you know that it actually is a german saying?
@QB - "undercover mission to infiltrate Darklords". One does not simply walk into Darklords. You need to assembly the fellowship of the Pooncrew to achieve that ;)
"Why did you two leave it anyway? Acme Co. looks like pretty much all of active LEA. :P"
"Dr. Stupid might be able to explain that decision better than I can. :)"
Well, point of order, first of all. Me and Kasp/Nex did not leave LEA together, nor did we start Acme together. Kasp/Nex left first I believe partly through real life business and wanting to concentrate on other warlight projects, but I should really let him speak for himself on that.
I left primarily because the LEA was built 100% on the 5v5 game format. I just found myself losing interest in that format, but here I was with a clan full of players that I had recruited under the promise of playing 5v5 format. So I passed it off to someone who was both still interested in the format and capable to run the thing (Captain Trips). LEA did go through a brief period of inactivity that started under my leadership and continued into Captain Trip's leadership as well. Under Trips, The LEA has became smaller, but also more organized and he has brought it to nearly 100% activity.
As far as the founding of Acme co. goes, that started as a project between me and JT (he rarely gets on the forums). Later on, CJ became very prominent in leadership as well. As a clan, we dropped the 5v5 format completely and concentrated fully on self-improvement/clan league/ladder performance. (We still have a long way to go). Several Acme players have an alt in LEA as there are still many friendships between the two clans.
Now don't ask me any other questions as I tend to get overly sentimental about this stuff and give answers way too long including information nobody even cares about. lol.
While I had an alt in DARKLORDS, it got a bunch of tournament invites, some even DARKLORDS-only or mostly DARKLORDS, so I can't say I didn't actually have any contact with them. Just a shame that the actually active players are basically locked in a clan like this with no leadership or community. :P
