Well, that ignores matchups though as well. There may be "x" points left for a clan, but it doesn't factor who they are against. Lets say WM and WG have a matchup. If one loses, the other wins, which means a clan like GG may not be able to catch 1st. You'd have to go pretty far into it to actually figure out the cause and effect on each matchup.

It also ignores games that are basically finished, a team just has not surrendered yet (impossible for anyone not in those games to know). But yes, a lot can happen. Usually there is not incredible movement near the end though unless someone just gets booted a ton.

that's true Chris - i've been thinking about it - but it's way to much time consuming to bother - this way it's close enough..

While Chris is right, a quick peek at the tourneys suggest that all of the fringe cases (GG first, Apex 6th, WG 3rd) are possible in this case.

I looked at our matchups and we have none with WM left, so it may be possible for some fringe cases. But we also have a matchup with apex left, so if we lose to them and someone like WM loses to them, it may push apex ahead of where the fringe can reach.

But yeah, I wouldn't go that far into it. I'm sure in another few days more games will end and it will become much clearer. In case you are wondering, I looked at WM and ours to see what was left (yesterday)...

^Well to determine if GG can win all you need are those games (In particular, ones involving two of WM/WG/Apex), and it does check out (Barely).

It's probably easier to not even think about these fringe cases as they're barely possible anyway. (WG/WM losing most/all of their last games? Apex only winning vs. WM/WG?)
