Never seen anyone so desperate to bribe wins on the 1v1 ladder. If he has the personality of corruption to bribe players , Then I wonder would he actually donate money to the charitable donation. Did Papa Smurf ever got the photos?
I wouldn't mind if every cheater was forced to donate to a charitable organisation for "virtual online success"
Besides that, Respect for Papa Smurf and now everyone is hoping to get Wins on the 1v1 ladder.
Wins is in the wrong. I didn't know any of this was taking place, but now that I know, I'd like to invite Papa Smurf to our 3v3 team. Well done Papa Smurf.
When a player behaves badly towards other players or is involved in cheating/unethical behaviour, of course it reflects upon the clan that they're in. Each clan member is a representative of that clan and people rightly or wrongly associate that person's actions with their clan logo.
Apologies for being quick to judge, someone on skype had said this was known for some time and I wrongly assumed that your clan was aware of it. Respect for addressing the issue with your member.
The responsabilities are shared in this game. Yes Wins shouldn't have said stuff in public chat but if I was Papa Smurf, I wouldn't have cared for all that bs, I would have laughed and destroyed him with no mercy ;). I don't understand Papa Smurf logic in this one...
The art of war has also a psychological (deceiving) aspect and Warlight is a war game. In this game, there is deception from Wins but I don't consider this much cheating as it is also the responsability of the other guy to just don't care about that deception.
But even in communities where 1v1 and psychological warfare are common, there must be a certain degree of honesty among players. That's something I didn't realize until further along in my Warlight life, and I've made adjustments to my own behavior to reflect that.
Everything falls apart if you can't expect the people you work with to be decent people. It's up to the competitive community to reinforce good behavior anong its own players -- and to reject behavior that is unacceptable.
How did you came across this game Swisster? Did any of them broke any rules? Are there any active measures taken against them by Developer team? When Warlight Ladders have been free of any shrewdness?
Interesting case in that matter. But its Warlight, Ladders have always been fault of adjusting ELO ratings with countermeasures. Well, if someone wants to pay to get to top of the ladder in Virtual game and is willing to give money or contribute to charity then I guess it is most benign way it could be done.
I came across this game because I like to research the opponents I play. I am pretty sure that bribery for a win would be frowned on by Fizzer. I have been playing ladders a while and this is the first time I have noticed any attempt like this.
"im so close to becoming the lowest level 2000 rated player ever"
What? There have been level 1 alts that joined the ladder due to membership or the strategy pack, that have smashed 2000. Sure they gained some levels on the ladder, but they broke 2000 while under level 20.

Yeah, there are handful of them. And they have pretty good win-streaks. I like them :)
