You cant change it now, I have been practicing it with NLC for the last 3 days without sleeping. You would destroy my master plan.
Also MoD has been practising this without NLC for months now... Dont take his candy.

I do not think that NLC is suitable at this seasonal.I strongly support the points mentioned for changing NCL to Cyclic Move Order and also announce that every player can put vacations in order to take 2-3 ;)

@Pana, Cloud: You make good points and I agree, NLC is not a perfect solution.
But I'm convinced the number of incidents with NLC would be much lower than the number of unfair games on cyclic.

Besides, I don't think a lot of players would go through the trouble of going on vacation, simply to get 2nd or 3rd pick on a game, knowing they'd get called out for it later.

If two players have equal analyzing skills, then the one who picks faster takes more risks. Perhaps he rushes his picks in order to get the first pick, perhaps he doesn't bother to double-check or triple-check the order of his picks.
Anyway, the advantage he gains by getting first pick is reduced by the fact that he had less time than his opponent to select his picks.


yeah on the other hand perhaps it would be good to have a seasonal on nlc. faster but worse picks, gonna be a whole other experience.

My results through the first 28 games completed, and canceling out the 8 surrender before picks...

1) On average, the winner had 3.75 income after picks, the loser had 1.75 income after picks.

2) Of the 20 games, only 3 times was the winner behind on income after picks: Juan def Pan (8-9 = -1), Fireice def Muli (2-4= -2), and Botanator def Emu Pub (2-3 = -1).

3) 9 games had the income differential at 1 after picks, 7 times the win went to the person ahead, 2 that went to the person behind.

4) 2 games had an income differential of 2, split 50/50.

So in short, it appears income after picks is a very high correlation to winning the game this season.

1st turn income is much less relevant than position and turn 2 income. I think in most of these games the winner just clearly knew how to play the template and practised before, so it's not a surprising thing for me.

I bet between good players you will find much more games where a player had the higher first turn income but still loses (like pana vs juan)

Sorry but I think this map really sucks. It gives far too much of an advantage to people playing on a big screen. I'm playing on a mobile or notebook, and the delineation between bonuses just isn't clear enough, so when picking I cannot tell which territories are gonna give me a negative bonus.

use the colored map thats posted in this forum thread by beren. The colors of the original map suck on a big screen too but on his image the colors are changed so it becomes very playable

For the people having problems with colors on this map, I recommend that the map should have added new bonuses (worth 0), so when you pick the bonus, say, desert or highlands, all desert or highlands locations on the map will be revealed as the terrain type.

If it's worth 0 then it doesnt appear. If it is an integer, then it interferes with surveillance cards.
