Anyhow I've looked at some games that are said to come out in 2017. And I also looked at games came out in 2016.
Best game to come out in 2016 seems to be by a good size
Overwatch. Class-based unrepetitive warfare. Pokémon Go also is pretty cool concept, but gets old pretty fast, as seen by how many folk left the application.
"Life is Strange" and "Undertale" don't seem to be games so much. Especially "Life is Strange", it's just an interactive film at that point (which is also good but don't be calling it a video game). Undertale though has some pretty basic gameplay elements but if you took out all the in-between, then you'd have a very boring game of some puzzles and plateforming, it'd get old fast.
Like John Carmack once said "Plot in a video game is like plot in a porn film. It's expected, but it doesn't have to be good.".
most disappointing game in 2016 was Doom (4). It's a very big embarassment to the Doom serie. It's just a gorefest with unengaging gameplay and little replayability, and id said that they wanted to frankly get the feel of how it was like to play Doom (1) back in the 1990s, such a realistic and bloody, Satanic game. But Doom's goodness doesn't come from it's Satanism, it comes from it's gameplay. A variety of weapons, a variety of monsters that's rarely seen today. And the original Doom 1, 2 had pretty nice level design but there are loads and loads and loads of great fan-made level packs you can download for it that are wonderful.
As if it's not bad enough though, at some point they renamed Doom 4 to just Doom...awful. Just terrible. It's an awful trash of a game and now whenever I search for Doom stuff (for exemple, the good soundrtack), it's muddled with Doom 4 stuff, which is all way worse.
Anyhow, most anticipated game for 2017 is
Sniper Ghost Warrior 3. I played a little of the first game, it was good, and the next game seemed very nice as well, and they've released an hour of gameplay for it (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYhLwajx6q8) and it looks really nice and slick and it's an open world, many-answer missions, which is also very good. They've also added some crafting and loot systems, so I hope it will go well.
