Interesting idea, but just a quick question. How can you enforce these rules if all I need to do is copy and paste 高慢な精神 and 創設者 before my name to make me an instant member/founder?

You can't stop me from putting it there, as Warlight (WL) provides users with the ability to alter their own names as they see fit. I ask because the idea of guilds is that it provides a way of restricting access to a dedicated (if you will) group of players, but that concept is void in WL given my aforementioned point.

I suppose you could have all the members in your guild blacklist anybody disobeying your orders, but that doesn't get around the fact that I can still plonk your guild name before my own, in essence making me a guild member whether or not I have passed muster...

Also the issue of ruling by blacklisting is a thorny one, given that it requires a mass consensus from your guild members for it to have any force. This is quite different from the hierarchical approach you mentioned in your mandate.

I suppose the long and short of it is that I'm of the opinion that you'll struggle to tell anybody to do anything as there is no appropriate stick to wield should they disregard you.

Unless, of course, Fizzer would be willing to adjudicate every dispute about guild rules, authority, members, names, etc, etc. The list could be very long, so that seems unlikely.

Just my two cents. Oh and don't worry, I'm not about to start running around with your clan tag claiming I created it :P

I'm not sure it is all that ironic. You may have missed my point in that I'm not saying guilds, as a concept, are futile. Why would I? After all, as you so astutely pointed out, I am a member of WM. The advantages of playing with people you know are manifold and I'm all for it.

However, the point I was trying to make, and I suppose I need to be more succinct in doing so, is that you cannot issue orders or truly regulate a WL guild. It has be done from a consensus approach. If Red or Dazed asked me to leave WM for whatever, it would have to be my decision to remove the WM tag. Now, if that happened I would so but the point is it is within my power to refuse.

This issue applies to my guild, ChibiJapan's guild and any guild you should chose to join or create Richard.

guilds in games without a built-in guild system, are mostly silly imho..
the only true usefulness is an internal sense of learning teamwork and the ability to play with people in whose ability you can trust

i already have 元帥 (highest ranked general) in my name. based on my high rank, i order ChibiJapan [眩い但し活発な] to commit [suicide by disembowelment](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seppuku)

if my order is not carried out immediately, i will obliterate ChibiJapan [眩い但し活発な]'s native land: soldiers will be sent to (a) kill all males able to walk, (b) rape and pillage, and (c) burn all structures to the ground. i will then order all blood relatives of ChibiJapan [眩い但し活発な] to be boiled alive in giant pots 鼎 and then force ChibiJapan [眩い但し活発な] to drink the 'relative soup' before i have him killed by being skinned and immersed in salts.

TO PEOPLE INTERESTED IN JOINING:Anyone with over 500 battles (and shows responsibility for their actions) will be appointed to 裁判官 [judge] which handles special cases involving guild members who disobeyed the code. If the sensei or officer can not make a decision he reports to a 裁判官 [judge] and he/she decides verdict.
Judges also will be assigned cases by 創設者 [founder] from time to time. I will continue providing these helpful tidbits of info if u ask questions!

Your rank is 先生[sensei] so you will have authority over all other ranks and be a major part of the guild when it really starts to grow.

That message was addressed to people who just complain about futility of guilds on the forum and are not actually interested in joining NOT to people who are interested in joining and are asking honest questions, the meaning of that was to say to people not interested in joining and posting things not related to the guild, that what they are doing or going to do is NOT acceptable, and if you are going to post, at least think about it first
