So after several failed ideas, I think I've finally something across something workable - the British Raj in 1937. I'm going to be doing provinces (in blue) first, and then princely states. French India, Portuguese India and the Omani exclave of Gwadar will also be shown.

The meaning behind this map is to symbolically project mankind's civilizations/history and to compare it with the Na'vi of Pandora. Now, see where I have ("Babylonian Empire" and "Kingdom of Media") and ("Kingdom of Pharaohs" and "Ecnassianer Nianodecam")? Could you help name their territories with hints of their culture and kingdom/empire facts and achievements?

I'm terrible with history and it took forever to name the "Assyrian Empire" lands. If it helps, here are a few specific topic ideas I have for the bonuses:

Babylonian Empire (4 bonuses+Babylon)

I was looking into Portuguese Goa yesterday. It turns out it actually had quite a few districts in it, does anyone think I should include them as well?
