Hey! Could anyone give me suggestions of good maps to play on team games (2 v 2 or 3 v 3)? I tend to always play on Europe or World maps, and I am getting bored of them... Since there is no rating system for maps (which would be a cool feature, by the way!) and there are so many maps now, I come to your collective knowledge for some suggestions. What are your favorite maps for team games?

I also give my impressions of maps I played on tonight with a friend (all played on 2 v 2) and a score based on whether or not this is a good map for team games:

I'm kind of in the minority here, but I love the east confines map, even though it has some balance issues.

Middle East (4/5): best for team games
Roman Empire (5/5): good for team games, FFAs, 1v1s
Europe (5/5): good for team games, FFAs, 1v1s
East Asia & Oceania (4.5/5): good for team games, FFAs, 1v1s
Risk map (4/5): fine for team games, FFAs, 1v1s
4 Kingdoms: Fire, Water, Earth, Wind (4.5/5): good for 2v2 team games, FFAs, 1v1s
British Isles (2.5/5): OK for team games, FFAs, 1v1s
Battle for Middle Earth (4/5): best for team games
Paris (3.5/5): best for smaller team games
Ancient Greece (3.5/5): fine for team games (auto distribute, 1-2 starting spots)
Hong Kong (3.5/5): for larger teams
Hexagon War small (4/5): fine for team games, FFAs, 1v1s
Africa (4.5/5): good for FFAs, team games
Poland big (4/5): best for team games

ok... will try each of them, and then send my score as well. in a private message, someone suggested the hungary map as well, so i will try it as well.
i've played the africa map (great, 5/5), the poland big (confusing 3/5), the british isles (terrible 1/5).

texas map is awesome

Alexander, I agree about the Texas map being sweet, although I've only played it once. And it wasn't a proper game, just me versus 4 other players with myself getting a massive starting bonus. Perhaps I'm a bit biased?

- i played a lot of these yesterday. very frustrating. but interesting.
- messing around with the settings (cards/no cards, 0-2 base bonus, no/light fog, etc.) can be fun.

3. [10 newbies vs me + 1-2 other players (guys like chump) & 6-7 AIs](http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer.aspx?TemplateID=131153)

- a funny game. settings only allow the newest (max 100 games) of the "post-october-look-at-my-inflated-stats-bc-i-only-play-other-newbies-but-i-think-that-makes-me-a-great-player" newbies. bee, myhand and i had a chance of winning this but bee got booted 2nd turn. i think we would've won, given our locations.

- 2 starting spots of 8 (8 players X 2 spots = 16...32 bonuses on the map)
