I wonder if it would be possible for someone to create a much better looking, and maybe even bigger version of the already existing Lord Of The Rings maps?
I for one am not at all handy, but I think a really nice.. simply complex LOTR map would bring a spark to a lot of the eyes of roleplayers in Warlight. (Note: I'm talking a big map. Like.. over 800 territories big. :O)
I for one would find such a map very handy and fun. :D
This is indeed a request.

What about something that can actually be used for a diplomacy with 20 players.

I would, and I'm sure a lot of other mapmakers would, but the problem is, we can't actually do it until we get a map to trace (or at least as a reference) that's big enough to have over 800 uniquely named territories. If you can find a source for a map that big, I'm sure a hundred mapmakers will volunteer for it. But until then, sorry. No one's going to do it. PS: Google won't work. See for yourself. Google a picture of Middle Earth. You won't find one big enough for 800 territories. You could make a Middle Earth map with 3200 territories if you wanted--but you have to consider that you have to name every territory. So again, Google won't work. Google isn't God.

Maybe several small maps would be good enough for 800?

It would likely not look good, though, because you'd have to create maps of different areas separately, and then line them up.
