Occam's razor would suggest that both players got suspended for language in that game. And then the alternate eli account was removed as he was using it to circumvent his suspension. In a week both players will be back and everything will go back to normal and be fine.
I'm pretty sure it's that. The only other reasonable explanation being Skrulls.
