When someone gets a tax refund, do you think it's because the govt. is just handing out free money? In the case of an earned income tax credit, they are. But I don't think Mr Trump had much of an EIC with $150 million in income. That's for people living close to the poverty line.
The $2 million that he owes is the difference between what is due and what he already paid throughout the year.
Because he was 3% off, they fined him $60,000, or almost 0.01% of his tax bill or 0.0001% of his income.
Now that this has been properly explained, would you like to revise your stance of your deep seated anger, or just continue to be irrelevant because you don't understand facts.

I think it simply shows that his haters were wrong.
One thing people hate on trump for is that he must not be that good of a business man, and that's why he's not releasing his taxes. Well, from the previous leak of his '95 taxes, he had a 950,000,000 loss. That loss was nowhere to be seen in the leaked 2014 taxes. That means he made over 1,000,000,000 in 10 years. Damn.
The thing that no one else was talking about around the leak of his '95 taxes, he lost a Billion dollars, which implies that he earned a Billion Dollars before that, and he paid a ton of taxes on that Billion he earned before '95.

His complete returns are probably the size of a fucking book. Mine are dozens of pages and not all that complex. I can't image the clusterfuck his returns must be. Which is a pretty defensible reasons for him not releasing them. People will find details buried in those volumes, take them completely out of context and make him look bad.

I see now, 2.4 million was the amount he owed when he filed. 38 million was his total tax liability for 2005. The 36 million difference was amounts withheld and pre-paid etc, which is the same as paying. But one of the items is: $13 million 'estimated tax payments and amount applied from 2004 returns'
That's not paying tax, that's retroactively writing something off for 2004 and claiming a discount in 2005. His tax actually paid for 2005 was more accurately ~$25 million.

He paid a higher rate in 2005. I'd be interested to see the last 20 years of his returns, rather than just this one that could have been selectively leaked.
