I'm so glad this tourney is starting. Once the game gets going (and inactive players get booted), it should be a fun time. Whoever wins this thing will have some serious braggin rights.

Not only that, by now all games in the second round have started as well! Granted, it took over two month, but who's counting? ;)
Maybe we should bet on when the final game will end. :p

- 7 games finished
- 1 game has 3 players left (first game in tournament view)
- 1 game has 6 players left (fourth game)
- 1 game has 7 players left (ninth game)
I'm thinking about two more months (so three months from Moros' post) to the finish line.

ps. "They said it couldn't be done", well, maybe make that "They said it **sh**ouldn't be done" ;)

well a thousand-person tournament sounds bad, but considering there's only 3 rounds, it's going to take less that half the time of a 512 player 1v1 tournament. and 99% will be eliminated before the third round. it would be even quicker with an autoboot. that we made it past the first round is pretty lucky, though. without autoboot, could easily have become stalled.
incidentally, there are two 1000-player tournaments up at the moment. theyre both around halfway to starting.

@Moros: I don't see why not; there's a limit of 24 players per match, so it should work. Just keep in mind, it will last for at least as long as this one. Since the next round can only start when the previous one has completely finished it will take especially long for the second round to start. Also, if you honour vacation, there's 2000 people who can go on vacation...

Small update on the second round:
- 9 games finished
- 1 game has 5 players left (ninth game)
