I thought it could be useful if mapmakers could export/import all the map information that is not contained in the SVG file. I mean all the territory names, connections, bonuses and distributions.

It would allow people to cooperate while making maps - one mapmaker could send an svg file and that new kind of file to another mapmaker - and the second mapmaker could load it and continue working.

This would be useful, know few people who would like to work together on a map, including me. At moment not any real solution to this than to chop up work between Warlight and Inkscape Environment. But the real workaround is having one united account - does exactly what you describe.

+1 so Fizzer will see.
I like this idea. Large maps like diplomacy maps would not only get finished quicker, but they'd also turn out better.

It doesn't help getting info to another player's map.. (yet?) But it can help you pretty much duplicate one of your own maps. Thought you might be interested.

If I understood it correctly, your program allows to duplicate somebody else's map too - if you get the SVG file and a link to a game played on that map you can copy it. So your program should do everything I mentioned in the beginning of the thread! That is really fantastic :)

May be I'll share an old SVG now - with this program chances are much higher that somebody will continue working on it...

Great! And yes, it will work on maps someone else made but you must have the SVG file as well.
